Operation Enduring Freedom 9 - "Miller"

The SAS and SBS were at the forefront in Operation Enduring Freedom from October 2001. They are probably still there today. This kitbashed SAS operator was done just for fun coz no SAS trooper would be wearing the famous SAS beret in operations (it'll be like painting a target on their head). This uniform I found was nice and although not the correct Desert DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material) BDUs worn by the British Army, it looks pretty close. Head sculpt is "Miller" by Dragon, released in 2002 as a Captain of the US Army 2nd Ranger Battalion, in Normandy on 6 June, 1944, most remembered as D–Day in World War II history. While "Miller" was played by Tom Hanks in the movie "Saving Private Ryan", this sculpt looked a lot more like Bruce Willis, the "Die Hard" and "Die Harder" guy.

The SAS preferred the Belgian FN Minimi light machine gun for patrols as it is light, accurate and uses the same type of ammunition as the M4, hence no need for extra ammo of a different kind PLUS it has superb suppressive firepower.
